Cradle function with friends

Amma and Nanna planned to celebrate the cradle ceremony with friends today. I was showered with blessings from amma and nanna's friends. Thank you uncles and aunties for your blessings.

Day 21: My Cradle Ceremony

It has been 21 days since I was born. We had a small cradle ceremony at home. As per the tradition, a newborn is put into the cradle on day 21. The cradle was decorated with thambulams(consist of betel leaves,betel nuts and two bananas) at four corners. Mom performed pooja to a small bowl well, washed my clothes with the water drawn from the well and entered the house. Nanamma and thaathaiya put me in the cradle and blessed me.  Ammamma, Amma and Nanna blessed me too. I had some snaps taken with my family.

That's a fish...my first identification

My maternal great grandmom and I sleep on the bed in amma's room at Bangalore home. There is a wind chime in amma's room with fishes hanging and grandmom taught me that they are fishes. I am still in the process of learning and identifying things you see. SOOO....Now when someone asks me where is the fish, I look at the fishes conveying to them "That's a fish!!!" This is the first thing I have identified as a baby....Hey there I go  !!!! :-)
